A psychological evaluation should be considered when the AMS receives
information which evokes doubts concerning the mental fitness or
personality of an individual. Sources for this information  can be accidents, incidents, problems in training or proficiency checks, delinquency or knowledge relevant to the safe exercise of the privileges of the applicable licenses. The evaluation shall be part of, or complementary to
a special psychiatric or neurological examination.
Details and consequences in practise need further evaluation. Consequenses out of the whole text  in the JAR`s and the national law

in case of implementation, JAR FCL 3.240 and 3.360

a)   an applicant for or holder of a Class 1 medical certificate shall have no established psychological
      deficiencies which are likely to  interfere with the safe exercise of the privileges of the applicable license(s).
      A psychological evaluation may be required by the AMS where it is indicated as………
b)   when a psychological
      evaluation is indicated a
      psychologist acceptable to  
      the AMS shall be utilised.
c)   he psychologist shall    
      ubmit to the AMS a written  
      report detailing his opinion and recommendation

Summary:
The implementation of JAR- FCL- 3  (Medical) is in progress. The NAA`s should be prepared in all aspects, especial to avoid problems after implemenation of JARs
An exchange of different approaches and an interpersonal discussion
for a common sence in Europa, should be focused.
